Common Dog Medical Conditions

Which way is best to feed your dog

Your dog may have certain medical conditions and thus certain food types are not suitable. It is important we highlight for you. Ooddles Kitchen advise is below for you.

We always recommend speaking to your vet when your dog has a medical condition.

Diabetes

Vets recommend a high-fibre, low-fat diet. Fibre slows the entrance of glucose into the bloodstream and helps your dog feel full. Low-fat foods have fewer calories.

We recommend you switch to Bare Ooddles Natural Raw Dog Food our Raw food is super for dogs with diabetes as it is low GI.

For Dry Food, we have a dry food called Go Lower, it is lower in calories.

Wet Food is suitable to add to kibble.

Treats and Chews all available at our shop, natural with no nasties.

Heart Disease

Omega 3 fatty acids are recommended for heart disease for several reasons. Firstly, they reduce inflammatory proteins called cytokines but a diet supplemented with omega 3 fatty acids has also been shown to improve appetite and reduce muscle loss in dogs with heart failure.

Always take advice from your vet
